Juventus confirm 121 people within the club have gone into self-isolation, including players, directors and staff, after Daniele Rugani tested positive for Coronavirus.

The defender was the first Serie A player to test positive for the virus, soon joined by Sampdoria forward Manolo Gabbiadini.

Those who came into close contact with Rugani over the last few days have therefore gone into self-isolation, including President Andrea Agnelli.

“Following yesterday's news, relating to the footballer, Daniele Rugani's positive test for Coronavirus-COVID 19. 121 people, including football players, staff members, directors, entourage and Juventus employees are observing a period of voluntary home isolation, in compliance with the requirements of the health authorities based on the provisions currently in force.”

Many of them will be staying at the J-Hotel, which is next to the training centre.

President Agnelli announced he too was in self-isolation since last night as he launched a fund-raising campaign for local hospitals in Piedmont.
