Ezequiel Garay reportedly missed Valencia training on Wednesday, but Juventus are also said to have eyes on Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi.

According to Superdeporte, Garay’s absence was due to physical problems, but there is the suspicion that it could be linked to a transfer being imminent.

However, Tuttosport believes Mustafi has emerged as a late contender for the Bianconeri.

The German made his breakthrough at the top level with Sampdoria, before winning the World Cup with Germany in 2014.

The newspaper notes Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng could be an option, but his arrival “is less feasible” than that of Mustafi.

Arsenal, for their part, are expected by Tuttosport to sanction offers in the region of 40m for the former Valencia stopper.
