The Bianconeri are seen as pressing to sign the former Udinese forward this summer and have been reported in recent weeks as in continuing talks with both the player and his club Barca.

Tuttosport are running the line today that an agreement has now been reached with the 25-year-old on a prospective contract.

Specifically, the Old Lady is understood to have committed to an initial salary set at €3.8m, with bonuses and clauses in place to push that up to potential earnings of €4.1m per season.

These figures, which represent a payrise for Alexis on his Barcelona contract that is believed to be worth €3m a year, have been put to the player as part of a five-year contract offer. Juve were reportedly considering even higher wages, across a four-year package, but ultimately opted against this.

The Chile international is reported as having accepted terms of the five-year offer and it is believed that now all that is needed is for Juve to agree a deal with Barcelona on his sale.

However, the Catalans are reportedly keen to delay any potential negotiations until after the World Cup, as they are ‘hoping for an international auction’.
