Hellas Verona coach Ivan Juric has confirmed he must cope without Davide Faraoni on Saturday and expects to face ‘a confident’ Sassuolo.

The Neroverdi are flying high in Serie A, sitting second after seven games, and Juric praised the opponents ahead of the match at the Bentegodi.

“They have reached a certain level after pursuing the same style of play for years,” Juric said at a press conference.

“Without selling the pieces and with the same coach, who has good ideas. They are doing very well and playing with great confidence, it will be really difficult game.”

The Gialloblu coach revealed Faraoni could be out for a while and said Miguel Veloso will not be back but confirmed Serbian Ivan Ilic will play.

“I don’t think Faraoni will play even against Atalanta, he’s definitely out,” Juric said. “Ilic will play, Miguel is not ready yet.

“He’s getting there, but we can’t ask too much of him. There are ups and downs, there are physical aspects he can suffer from.

“It should have been a year of growth, but he’s playing a lot and doing well.”
