Genoa Coach Ivan Juric believes Milan have “always played well” and says Gennaro Gattuso has “surprised a lot of people”.

The Grifone travel to San Siro tomorrow night to face the Rossoneri, a match which was postponed from Week 1 after the Ponte Morandi disaster.

“We want to face them with the right humility, but the knowledge that we can hurt them,” Juric said in his pre-match Press conference.

“We want to face them with the right humility, but the knowledge that we can hurt them,” Juric said in his pre-match Press conference.

“They’re a strong team, they had a bit of decline for a few games but they put in a great performance against Sampdoria and changed formation.

“They’ve done very well, they’ve been playing well for a long time. They did the right things in the derby but they lost in the last minute, but their performances have always been good.

“Gattuso and I know each other, and I’m glad he has a positive opinion of me. I have to say Gattuso has surprised a lot of people with how his Milan play, compared to what we knew about him [as a player].

“With any team you do your best with the resources you have. Gattuso has surprised everyone, they’re not just aggressive, they play football too.

“It would be great to win, but it’s not easy to deal with a fixture list like this. That said, I think we have the qualities to hurt any team.”

Gonzalo Higuain and Patrick Cutrone could start up-front together, how can they be stopped?

“They’re good, they work well as a pair and also individually. They’re devastating, Cutrone uses his cunning more while Higuain is more technical.”
