Inter defender Juan Jesus admits “it wasn’t easy to fall asleep” after the Coppa Italia exit to Juventus.

The Nerazzurri lost the first leg of the semi-final 3-0 in Turin, but took the match to penalties last night with a 3-0 win of their own.

“I slept very little,” Juan Jesus told Premium Sport.

“I went to bed at 5am because of the adrenaline. We need to rest, but we’re pleased with what we did yesterday. It wasn’t easy to fall asleep, we played a great game.

“Are we disappointed? Yes, a little bit. We believed after the 3-0, but beating Juventus is never easy.

“Palacio? We’re disappointed, and don’t forget [Ivan] Perisic’s chance at the end which reminded me of [Esteban] Cambiasso against Tottenham a few years ago.

“We have to start from what we did well.”
