Juan Jesus admits his performances must improve if he is to be a success at new club Roma.
The Brazilian defender joined the Giallorossi on a season-long loan from Inter during the summer, but his displays so far this season have attracted criticism from some quarters.
“I am a little disappointed,” Jesus confessed when asked about the early stages of his time at Stadio Olimpico.
“I started well, in the friendlies and in pre-season I felt good. The Champions League exit was a disappointment for me and all the team.

“I need to fight for this shirt and for this club in order to be happy in the future. I need to work and improve to give joy to the Roma fans.”
The 25-year-old then praised his new Giallorossi teammates before again acknowledging the need to prove his worth to Coach Luciano Spalletti.
“I am happy here, it is a fantastic city, the group is made up of a lot of great lads. I need to show in training and in games that I deserve this shirt.”
