Juan believes Roma have double the motivation for the Derby della Capitale. “Lazio are our rivals in the city and for the Champions League.”

The two go head to head at the Stadio Olimpico this afternoon and it's the Giallorossi's last chance to target a top four finish.

“We know how important this derby is and will be looking for the victory,” said the defender.

“Lazio are our rivals in the city, but also our main challengers for a place in the Champions League.

“We know how important this derby is and will be looking for the victory,” said the defender.

“Lazio are our rivals in the city, but also our main challengers for a place in the Champions League.

“That only increases what this game means to us and our fans. It's the type of match that can act as a crossroads for the teams involved. We hope to have a positive result so that we can push forward in the final weeks of the campaign.”

Roma need a boost after their Champions League exit to Shakhtar Donetsk this week, losing 6-2 on aggregate.

“Obviously everyone at the club was a little shaken up by the Shakhtar defeat, but we have an experienced side capable of moving its focus,” continued Juan.

“Having this calm outlook and balance during the game will be crucial. It is time to set aside the past and focus only on our next targets.”
