The Montenegrin arrived on an initial loan from Manchester City last year but has managed to score only six Serie A goals in a difficult first season.
“For how things went at the start, we could’ve and should’ve finished third,” he said to Corriere dello Sport.
“But in January we didn’t win many games, above all at home.

“I came here to stay for at least a few years. At the end of the season I’ll talk to the club, but I don’t want to leave.
“I can give a lot to this team and I haven’t shown what I’m worth yet.”
