Milan midfielder Jose Mauri wants to “repay President Silvio Berlusconi for his faith” in the team.

“When Berlusconi speaks, we all stop and listen. He is our Number One fan and his words give us confidence, so we try to repay that faith with a good performance tonight,” Mauri told Milan Channel.

A victory is sorely needed after the 3-3 draw with Frosinone saw them slip behind Sassuolo into seventh place.

“Good luck doesn’t just arrive, you need to go out and find it. Last Sunday we had many scoring opportunities and frankly it’s not possible that we were unable to win.

“We hope to have fewer opportunities this evening, but more goals. There are two games to go and I think I’m going to play in both.”
