Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos teased a possible return to Italy for his client amid links with Juventus, noting that ‘he’d like to come back one day.’

A report from La Gazzetta dello Sport today suggested that the Bianconeri recently agreed personal terms with the 30-year-old Italian-Brazilian, whose contract expires with Chelsea in 2023. The Turin side now reportedly need to agree a fee with the West London club, who are currently in free-fall following the sanctions laid against owner Roman Abramovich.

Speaking to Radio Marte today, Joao Santos discussed the future of his client Jorginho amid the links with Juventus.

“Since Sarri’s time there has been talk of Juve, but at the moment Chelsea can’t do anything on the market. We’ll have to see what happens. Obviously Juventus are an important team at a European level, we’ll have to see.

“He came to Italy when he was 15 years old, obviously he’d like to come back one day. But now he is focused on the national team because he has to go to the World Cup, let’s hope it goes well.”

The 30-year-old Jorginho, who joined Chelsea in 2018 from Napoli, has made 38 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2882 minutes. In that time, he’s scored nine goals and provided three assists.

With his contract set to expires with the Blue next year, it’s likely that the West London side will agree to a fairly low-cost deal in the summer.
