Hellas Verona playmaker Jorginho has insisted that his side are not thinking about Europe next season, despite sitting in sixth place.

The promoted side have been the surprise package of the season, picking up 29 points in the first 17 games.

The attacker though, has claimed that his men are only focused on avoiding relegation.

“Our Serie A debut against Milan was beautiful,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “There was a lot of tension going into the game, but we did well.

“Mandorlini has always believed in me, and in times of trouble, like the game against Torino, has defended me against critics.

“We’re not thinking about Europe, we just have to focus on reaching 40 points.

“Only after that point can we start to have fun and see where we can go. I hope 2014 is as good, or better, than 2013.”
