Joao Mario admits “we are all responsible for this situation and must now fight together to bring Inter back to the top.”

The Nerazzurri have seemingly turned a corner with their victories over Sparta Prague – irrelevant as they were already out of the Europa League – and Genoa.

“We are all responsible for this situation,” Joao Mario told Tuttosport.

“We have always fought and always will fight together to bring Inter back to the top. This is the best answer we can give to the fans.”

The €40m signing from Sporting CP has played in a few different midfield roles so far this season.

“I like to be in a more advanced position so I have better chances of pushing up into attacking moves. In recent games the Coach thought I should be in a more defensive slot and that’s no problem for me.

“I think my best performance was at home to Cagliari, even if we lost. My worst was against Sampdoria.”
