Winger Juan Manuel Iturbe looks likely to be the key absence for Roma’s fixture with Chievo on Saturday.

The 21-year-old Argentine is reported as carrying a few knocks, and it is believed that Rudi Garcia will rest him ahead of the Giallorossi’s clash with Bayern Munich next Tuesday.

Iturbe is confirmed as having spent today’s training session in the gym, alongside Marco Borriello and Bogdan Lobont.

Roma are, however, hoping to welcome back Daniele De Rossi and Davide Astori for the Chievo clash, with both players taking part in training this week.

Roma have also welcomed Kevin Strootman back to training, although the midfielder is not expected to be ready to return to the first team until the end of November.

The Dutchman joined his teammates for part of Tuesday’s training session, before focussing on his own specific routine as he looks to return from a cruciate ligament injury.
