The Serie A options have for months been reduced to Inter and Juventus, who remain the favourites to take Chiesa into the next stage of his career.

As for the Premier League candidates, sides like Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have fallen away, leaving only Manchester United and Chelsea.

The report states that Fiorentina are eager to get a cash only deal rather than include players in exchange, which would put the English teams at an advantage.

President Rocco Commisso would also prefer not to reinforce their Serie A rivals, particularly Juventus.

So far this season, Chiesa has contributed seven goals and five assists in 26 competitive games, while he already has 17 senior caps for Italy under his belt.
