Italy internationals Marco Verratti and Gianluigi Donnarumma are celebrating after winning the Ligue 1 title with Paris Saint-Germain.

A late Lionel Messi screamer from distance into the top corner still wasn’t enough to beat 10-man RC Lens, who equalised late on, but a point was all they needed.

Midfielder Verratti was in the starting XI this evening, although Donnarumma was benched in favour of Keylor Navas.

It is the 10th Ligue 1 title for PSG, who had been entirely dominant in France until losing their supremacy last season to Lille.

They have now won eight of the last nine Ligue 1 campaigns.

However, the fans jeered coach Mauricio Pochettino’s name when the teamsheets were read out at Parc des Princes and insisted on celebrating outside the stadium even before the final whistle.

  1. Bit of a farcical club, really. Hard to take anything they achieve seriously, like Man City.

Hopefully Pogba goes there and not Serie A. The league doesn’t need another epl “name”/flop arriving. PSG would be a great match for a guy like him.
