The FIGC have announced that Italy’s World Cup qualifier with Spain in October will be played at Juventus Stadium in Turin.

The Azzurri have been drawn in the same qualification group as La Roja, as both seek to make it to Russia in 2018.

The home leg of the double-header, which will be new CT Giampiero Ventura’s second competitive game in charge, takes place on October 6 and the FIGC have announced it will be played in Turin.

Juventus Stadium has hosted the national team twice since it was opened in 2011, a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic which sealed World Cup qualification in 2013 and a 1-1 friendly draw with England last March.

Italy and Spain have met 34 times in the past, with the last meeting the 1-1 draw in Udine on March 24.

The overall record reads 10 wins each and 14 draws.
