The Azzurri began their Nations League campaign with a 1-1 home draw against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday evening, as Stefano Sensi cancelled out the Edin Dzeko opener.

Roberto Mancini said there would be quite a few changes for the next match, especially as the Serie A season hasn’t even started yet, so fitness levels are not good.

Chiellini is guaranteed a starting spot, as Mancini confessed the Juventus defender was meant to be in the starting XI against Bosnia rather than Francesco Acerbi, but he wasn’t wearing his glasses when looking at the final line-up and didn’t notice the error.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Leonardo Spinazzola are competing for the two full-back positions.

Jorginho is expected to start in midfield, after he arrived late from the Chelsea camp, with Zaniolo stepping in alongside Nicolò Barella.

Immobile is another guarantee upfront, having been rested in favour of Andrea Belotti with Bosnia-Herzegovina.

There are suggestions Manuel Locatelli of Sassuolo could get his senior Italy debut in midfield, therefore pushing Zaniolo into a more advanced role in the trident attack along with Lorenzo Insigne.
