Italy have plunged down the FIFA world ranking to 20th place after a draw and defeat in this month’s friendlies.

The Azzurri failed to qualify for the World Cup for the first time since 1958 and are currently under caretaker manager Gigi Di Biagio.

Those results and other international friendlies have seen Italy plummet six places down to 20th.

They have been overtaken by Tunisia, Uruguay, England, Mexico, Croatia and the Netherlands.
