Italy are due to plummet out of the top 20 teams in the FIFA World Rankings after their 2-0 defeat to Argentina.

Failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup already doomed the Azzurri to a dismal score, but the friendly loss in Manchester last night will further dampen their enthusiasm.

According to the calculations made by Mediaset Premium, Italy will be in 21st place in the rankings published on April 12.

That puts them behind Iceland, Tunisia and Peru.
