FIFA have released the latest World Rankings and heading into the World Cup Italy will remain placed ninth overall.

There are a few movements in the top 20 positions, with the highest of those seeing Brazil swap places with Portugal for third in the world behind Spain and Germany.

Argentina are up to fifth and Switzerland have climbed two places to sixth, at the expense of Uruguay and Colombia.

Italy’s opening Group D opponents England are back into the top 10, just a place behind Cesare Prandelli’s men.

Alongside Uruguay and England, Italy will also face Costa Rica in the group stages, and they head into the competition ranked 28th in the world, having jumped up six places from last month.

The Nazionale fly out to Brazil later tonight, ahead of a final week of preparations in Mangaratiba.
