Italy have announced there will be friendly matches against Albania and Austria to be played in November 2022.

The Azzurri are not in the World Cup in Qatar, so these tests are just to get Roberto Mancini’s men some regular playing time ahead of the long break in domestic competition.

The Nazionale will travel to the Air Albania Stadium in Tirana to play Albania on Wednesday November 16.

They will then be at the Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna for a match against Austria on Sunday November 20.

It is going to be the first ever game in Tirana for Italy, who have won all three of their previous meetings with Albania.

The Azzurri crossed paths with Austria on 38 occasions, the first in July 2012 and the most recent going to extra time in the EURO 2020 Round of 16 at Wembley Stadium in June 2021.

This week, Italy complete their Nations League group phase against England at San Siro on Friday September 23 and away to Hungary on Monday September 26.
