Italian media have mixed feelings about coach Antonio Conte after Inter’s 3-2 away defeat to Real Madrid in Champions League.

Inter sit last in the group stage with two points in three games and coach Conte has been in the spotlight as media and Inter fans expect the Nerazzurri to at least qualify for the last-16 stage of the competition.

Italian sports papers have some mixed reactions about the Italian tactician.

La Gazzetta dello Sport rate Conte 6: “Without a center forward and practically Sanchez as well, his Inter side keep the promise of playing an offensive football in Madrid. It is up to him, however, to take care of the details that condemn him in the results”.

Six, a passing grade, is also the rating of Il Corriere dello Sport: “Inter create so much but at the same time they commit so many mistakes. Now the situation in the group becomes complicated”.

Tuttosport are the toughest with Conte and rate him 5: “He wanted to impose the game and for some stretches, before and after the 2-2 Inter gave the feeling of being able to make the game they wanted. But if he continues to defend like this, he will go not far”.
