Chievo became the League’s first casualty last weekend, but Lazio have won just three of their last eight meetings with the Flying Donkeys.

“We know we have a busy schedule, so we need to be ready,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“We have to win to move up the table. I’m not looking at the others. Right now, we have to think about ourselves and face a team who have often put us in difficulty.

“Chievo’s place in the table is a deception. They recently drew with Atalanta and even though they’re relegated, they’ll be up for it.

“It’s unfortunate that Napoli and Juve didn’t reach their semi-finals. You need to be in great condition for certain games.

“Compared to our first game [against Chievo] we’ve improved a lot, but we have to show it. Marusic and Radu will be assessed, even if they’ve trained well.

“In place of Leiva will be Badelj, and I have confidence in him. He’s integrated well and,

besides being a great player, I’m also happy with him as a person.

“Luis Alberto will also be there, while I have to choose between Milinkovic-Savic and Parolo. I’ll also assess Cataldi, who has some discomfort in his calf.

“I don’t know yet about our defence and the wide men.”

Ciro Immobile has scored just four goals since the turn of the year, but Inzaghi was in no mood to panic.

“I’m sorry that there’s focus on the fact that he hasn’t scored, but he’s calm,” he added.

“We’ll see if he has recovered because he’s used up a lot of energy. Goals are always expected from him, but we mustn’t forget his performances.

“I have to weigh some things up because we played on Wednesday and yesterday I only saw those who hadn’t played against Udinese.

“I have to take a close look at how Correa does in our conditioning for the game. After that, I’ll name the best possible XI.”
