It was a particularly impressive result considering the squad rotation, as they prepare for Saturday’s showdown with Roma.

“I thought about it for a while, but I wasn’t surprised by the positive response from these players. Udinese are going to cause a lot of teams problems this season,” said Inzaghi in his Press conference.

“I just wish we could’ve avoided the chaotic finale by conceding that naïve goal. Everyone was waiting for the referee to blow the whistle, but it doesn’t matter who is right or wrong, it’s crucial not to be unprepared.

“We never underestimated our opponents and it’s an important victory to climb the table. We know Saturday is very important for us.

“It’s good to have so many players make life difficult for the Coach, as too many options are far better than the alternative. I try to make sure everyone feels involved.

“Joaquin Correa scored a wonderful goal, he has quality and likes to make the most of wide spaces. He was already unlucky not to score against Empoli and with Genoa the goalkeeper performed a miraculous save. He can make a big impact.”

Stefan Radu was out injured today, but will he be available for the Rome Derby?

“I don’t know, we’ll evaluate him over the next few days. Our team spirit allowed us to achieve five wins in a row and today I want to single out Patric and Luiz Felipe, who had been out for a while and had a great game.”
