Inzaghi felt the performances have been good enough to win the games but pointed at ‘refereeing decisions’ and ‘blackouts’ to explain the poor results.

“Tomorrow we have a very important match, we are aware of that,” Inzaghi said at a press conference.

“We come from three well-played games, but we had 15 minutes of blackout against both Milan and Genoa, which cost us a lot of points.”

Fiorentina visit the Olimpico on Wednesday and Inzaghi expects a reaction from the home side.

“Motivation will be needed against Fiorentina,” he continued. “In the last few games, we have also been penalised by some refereeing decisions.

“Now, it’s time to be stronger than ever. Prandelli’s team are coming from a good period and they have quality players.

“We must interpret the match in the best possible way.”
