“It’s a shame that we lost like this, because we contributed to it. We gifted two goals. It’s a huge disappointment for me and the lads. There will be criticism, I know what the environment around a derby is like.

“I expected more from my team, but the opponents worked hard to limit us and defended with five men, so they were humble. For an hour we didn’t allow a shot on goal, then two gifts and two goals, that’s the regret.

“Wallace was having a really good game until then. He probably wanted to back-heel the ball to play it out of defence, but you can’t risk something like that in a derby. This defeat will help us grow, although I’d have preferred to learn against a different team.”
