“We really do believe we can secure first place. We are three points off Eintracht, but want to win here and are aware the Germans won’t have an easy game either with Olympique Marseille,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“It’s an important match for everyone. We all hoped to qualify, that was our first objective for the season, and we achieved it with two games to spare.

“There will be changes and everyone will have the opportunity to show what they can do. My lads are professionals and always put in the effort.”

Inzaghi was asked about the tension with President Claudio Lotito, who was unhappy with his choices in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Milan.

“I can say that I saw Lotito after the game and he was happy with the way the team reacted to going behind. I complimented the lads and the President also appreciated our work.

“It’s natural that we all wanted to win and could’ve taken the lead in the first half, but we’ll take the reaction and the point. I reiterate that I only replaced Sergej Milinkovic-Savic because he was on a yellow card and I didn’t want to lose him.”
