“We have a very important match against a side with fine players who won at the Olimpico earlier this season,” warned the Coach in his Press conference.

“Attitude will count for a lot, so we must treat this as a one-off game. I asked the players not to think about the remaining fixtures, but only about Torino.”

With four rounds to go, Roma and Lazio are locked together in third place, with Inter one point behind, but only the top four go into the Champions League.

“Our destiny is in our hands. It’s a complicated fixture list, especially with Inter in the final match, but we have to treat Torino like a Final.

“We must ignore the other results and look only at our own, because that’s the only thing we have any control over. Torino have changed system in recent weeks, moving to three at the back with fast-paced wing-backs.

“We’re missing an important player like Marco Parolo and he is one of the players we probably needed the most. Unfortunately, he was too generous and eager to help the team, so aggravated his injury against Sampdoria.

“I have options tomorrow, whether it’s Luis Alberto and Felipe Anderson together, only one of the two, then Senad Lulic on the wing or in midfield. I’ll take some time to decide.”

Lazio’s Formello training ground will be used by Liverpool ahead of the Champions League semi-final against Roma, which stirred up some controversy.

“I think it’s an honour to host a prestigious side. The day the draw was made, Liverpool made their request to use the facilities and we accepted without problems.

“I hope that in future they can return the favour, as it means we’ll be playing a European fixture against Liverpool or Everton.”
