Lazio have fallen to eight in Serie A ahead of their trip to Cagliari on Saturday, although they will qualify for next season’s Europa League with victory over Atalanta in the Coppa Italia Final.

“We need to face tomorrow in the best possible way because this game is very important for us,” Inzaghi said at a Press conference.

“Our goal is to stay in Europe and we must try to also qualify for it through the League. After that, we’ll think about facing Atalanta in the Final from tomorrow night.

“I’ve been carrying out a series of assessments. We’ve tried various solutions. The team that will go out will, in any case, be reliable.

“Right now we’re out of Europe, but there are still three League games and the Coppa Italia Final to go.

“I don’t want to think about a Lazio team outside of Europe. We still have the possibility of achieving qualification.”

The Coach’s future at the Olimpico had appeared to be in doubt after an inconsistent League campaign and the likes of Juventus possibly looking for new Coaches…

“Everyone knows how attached I am to this shirt,” he concluded.

“I don’t want to think of anything else right now. We want to end our season in the best way possible and then we’ll see.”
