“With a little more luck, we could’ve had four points now, but I believe in the end you have to make your own luck, so we’ve got to earn the breaks,” said Inzaghi in his Press conference.

“Inter have a squad capable of winning the Scudetto, so in theory we’d have nothing to lose in this game, but the great thing about football is that expectations can be overturned.

“We must do well to make the most of every opportunity that comes out way against one of the strongest teams in Europe. Radja Nainggolan’s return from injury gives them even more weaponry, but we must above all focus on our own performance.

“We do have a plan in mind, but we’ll see how the game evolves on the pitch.”

It’s a special fixture for Inzaghi, who represented Milan in the Derby della Madonnina as both player and Coach.

“I relished these games as a player. When you face the biggest opponents, your legs move twice as fast. I adored this sort of match and hope my lads can feel the same way. I believe in our chances and nothing frightens me.

“If Inter are better on the day and deserve the victory, then we’ll shake their hands in congratulations, but they’ve got to sweat for it.

“I don’t see it as a derby, because I am the Coach of Bologna and I must focus only on what is best for this team, making the squad, club and city proud.”

Bologna are without Rodrigo Palacio, Godfred Donsah, Neuhen Paz and Angelo Da Costa, but Mattia Destro could start after shaking off a muscular injury.

“I do have a few doubts, but I think it’ll be at least nine or 10 of the same players who started against Frosinone. Federico Santander did well in that game and is still getting used to our style of football. Destro has another week of training in his legs, so he could start or come off the bench.

“I know as a former striker that there are times when you struggle to score, but once you break the ice, you keep going.”

Bologna squad for Inter: Pirana, Santurro, Skorupski; Calabresi, Danilo, De Maio, Dijks, Gonzalez, Helander, Mattiello, Mbaye; Dzemaili, Nagy, Poli, Pulgar, Svanberg, Valencia; Destro, Falcinelli, Krejci, Okwonkwo, Orsolini, Santander
