The Slovakian international was the subject of a €65m bid in January, believed to be from Manchester City, but the Nerazzurri rejected it out of hand.

This morning’s Tuttosport makes it clear that they have no intention of allowing Skriniar to leave, so it would take a truly exceptional bid to convince the Beneamata to sell the centre-back.

Given that Virgil van Dijk left Southampton for Liverpool in a deal worth around €85m, the offer would have to be at least €80m.

However, the intention is very much to keep hold of Skriniar, pairing him with Stefan de Vrij, who will leave Lazio on a free transfer at the end of the season.
