Inter fans put on a spectacular display in the stands of San Siro for their Champions League Round of 16 tie against FC Porto.

The Nerazzurri are back in the Champions League knockout fixtures for the second year in a row under coach Simone Inzaghi.

Supporters have flocked to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and it is sold out tonight with a reported 75,000 attending, including circa 4,360 Porto fans.

The ultras put on a show in the stands, covering the Curva Nord in blue and black to represent a churning sea.

A large banner read: ‘Love is a fixed lighthouse, which guides you through the storm.’

There is a very warm atmosphere at San Siro and throughout the city this evening, as the two sets of fans are on good terms, even travelling together to the stadium and joining in to sing chants for their joint hero Jose Mourinho.

UEFA President Aleksandar Ceferin and FIGC President Gabriele Gravina are both in the stands, along with Inter patron Steven Zhang.
