Chelsea could now make a serious approach for Denzel Dumfries and Inter have reportedly identified Torino’s Wilfried Singo as their top replacement.

The Blues have now finalised the arrival of Marc Cucurella from Brighton, allowing them to focus on other transfer targets in the final month of the window. Chelsea are currently working on a deal for Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana, but they could reignite their interest in Milan Skriniar should the Foxes continue to play tough negotiators.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Chelsea also have their sights set on two more Inter players, midfielder Cesare Casadei and right back Dumfries. The Nerazzurri want around €20m for the former and €40m for the latter, forcing the Blues to invest if they want to pull off either deal.

Should Dumfries be sold, Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio’s preferred replacement is full back Singo, whose contract expires with Torino next year. His current market value is around €15m but the Granata are likely to hold out for a little more.

Singo scored three goals and provided four assists in 35 Serie A appearances last season.

  1. Chelsea’s new owner is playing fantasy football. He currently has FIVE left backs in the squad 😂 It wouldn’t surprise me if they sign doonfree in addition to Azpilicueta and James.
