Inter will reportedly meet Juventus for Stephan Lichtsteiner, but it depends on Juan Cuadrado’s situation.

It’s thought the Nerazzurri are considering the Swiss international for the right-back slot, as Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian would be too expensive.

According to SportItalia, a meeting between the two clubs will take place this afternoon, but much depends on Juan Cuadrado.

The Bianconeri are trying to bring the Colombian international back on loan from Chelsea, after a successful spell last season.

According to SportItalia, a meeting between the two clubs will take place this afternoon, but much depends on Juan Cuadrado.

The Bianconeri are trying to bring the Colombian international back on loan from Chelsea, after a successful spell last season.

Cuadrado can play both as a winger and as a right-wing back, meaning he could be an alternative to Dani Alves in the 3-5-2 system.

At the moment Lichtsteiner would be the second-choice right-back, so the Old Lady won’t let him leave unless Cuadrado arrives.

That presents a problem, as Inter want to resolve the deal quickly, without waiting for a resolution in the Cuadrado deal.

Calciomercato.com concurs that a meeting will be held today, and believes that Lichtsteiner already has a deal with the Beneamata, worth over €3m for three years.

However, Inter are only offering around €3m to Juventus as a transfer fee, and the Bianconeri may decide to hold the player and let him leave for free next summer, rather than strengthen a rival.
