Inter are prepared to pounce for Rodrigo De Paul should Atletico Madrid place him on the transfer list in the summer.

The 27-year-old Argentinian forward has struggled to find a spark with coach Diego Simeone and his performances have suffered as a result this season, with the player failing to fully convince in Spain. Recent reports suggest that he’s happy with the idea of possibly returning to Italy in the summer, but things all depend on Atletico.

As detailed by FcInterNews, Inter requested information about De Paul in the January transfer window, but they were pushed away by Atletico’s requests. Things still haven’t ignited between the player and Simeone, however, so they may decide to cut their losses in the summer.

Should Atletico transfer list De Paul, Inter would look to swoop in and secure his signature, possibly offering a loan deal with a buy option attached. Considering the club’s financial limitations, it’s incredibly unlikely that they’ll be able to pull off a definitive transfer.

  1. Inter will be offloading Vecino, Vidal and Gagliardini is just a backup.

So besides Frattesi, Inter need to sign another midfielder. Sensi`s future is also up in the air.
