There are growing reports, Inter want to sign a back-up striker for Romelu Lukaku with Gianluca Scamacca and Andrea Petagna on top of their shopping list.

The Nerazzurri’s priority is to find a replacement for Achraf Hakimi, who has joined PSG in a €71m deal.

While talks for Hector Bellerin and Nahitan Nandez are ongoing, Il Corriere dello Sport and Calciomercato.com, report the Serie A giants are also on the lookout for a new centre-forward.

The likes of Gianluca Scamacca and Andrea Petagna have been linked with a move to the Stadio Meazza, but talks with Sassuolo and Napoli haven’t begun yet.

Scamacca is under contract with Sassuolo until June 2025 and spent the last season on loan at Genoa, scoring eight goals in 26 appearances.

Petagna scored five goals in 36 appearances across all competitions in his first season with Napoli last term and his contract at the Stadio Maradona expires in June 2024.

The 26-year-old had netted 29 goals in 74 appearances with SPAL between 2018 and 2020.
