According to Calciomercato.com, Gagliardini is “among Suning’s priorities” in the transfer market for next season, although negotiations will be carried out in January as Inter are keen to act quickly, so as not to risk missing out on the midfielder.

The Beneamata had hoped to sign him for the second half of the campaign, but the Bergamo outfit are not prepared to sell any of their prized assets next month.

A deal for the newly-capped Italy international would also be a huge string in the bow of sporting director Piero Ausilio, who “will work tirelessly” to earn a new contract.
