The Spaniards want a permanent deal or a loan with an obligation to buy, while the Beneamata can only offer a loan with option to buy.
It would effectively be an obligation though, as Inter would offer €6m for the loan and it’s almost inconceivable they’d spend so much without making the deal permanent.
Matteo Darmian and Davide Zappacosta are alternatives, but neither has convinced the Nerazzurri leadership.
Sporting director Piero Ausilio will therefore wait for Vrsaljko, who will be on holiday for the next three weeks after the World Cup, meaning there’s no hurry to have him in Spalletti’s squad.
