Marcello Lippi believes “something on a psychological level” is behind Inter’s recent downturn in form.
The Nerazzurri did beat Benevento at the weekend, but they have slipped out of the Scudetto race and are even in danger of being caught by city rivals Milan, who they face in the Derby della Madonnina this weekend.
“Usually the less favoured team wins the derby,” Lippi, a former Inter Coach, pointed out to Gazzetta dello Sport.

“[Coach Luciano] Spalletti did really well at the start of the season to get unexpected results, then something jammed, I think something on a psychological level.
“It’ll still be a nice derby.”
