Pressure is mounting on Simone Inzaghi and Inter have reportedly contacted Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbi ahead of the summer.

The Nerazzurri have looked inconsistent under the former Lazio coach and doubts have continued to grow regarding his capabilities to guide the team to the Scudetto.

Inter are in the Coppa Italia semi-finals and the Champions League quarter-finals, two elements that are key for Inzaghi and his future at the club.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, April will be a decisive month for Inzaghi at Inter, with the club’s management expecting important results in both the Coppa Italia and Champions League.

The Nerazzurri want to be ready for any eventuality, so they’ve opened talks with De Zerbi to explore a possible move. The Brighton coach has an €8-10m release clause in his contract and terminating Inzaghi’s deal would cost them around €10m.

Inter are reflecting on the situation, putting the pressure on Inzaghi to perform at a crucial stage of this season.
