Inter have reportedly offered Ezequiel Schelotto to Genoa in exchange for Alberto Gilardino, as talks with Bologna hit problems.

The veteran striker spent this season on loan at Bologna, but negotiations with Genoa have so far failed to reach an agreement to make the move permanent.

This has opened the door for Inter to intercept, as they are seeking a reliable forward to step in while Diego Milito continues his recovery from knee ligament surgery.

According to Primo Canale Sport, the Nerazzurri have proposed former Atalanta” data-scaytid=”6″>Atalanta winger Schelotto to Genoa.

It would be a return to San Siro for Gilardino, who played for Milan from 2005-08.

Gila turns 31 next month and scored 13 goals in 36 Serie A games for Bologna this season.

Schelotto joined Inter in January from Atalanta, but failed to make much of an impact and is reportedly on the market.
