Inter are reportedly interested in re-signing former centre-back Marco Andreolli from Chievo this summer.

The 26-year-old was originally sold by the Nerazzurri in 2007 to Roma, as part of the deal that brought Cristian Chivu to San Siro.

After an unsuccessful period in the capital and loan spells with Vicenza and Sassuolo, Andreolli joined Chievo in 2010.

After an unsuccessful period in the capital and loan spells with Vicenza and Sassuolo, Andreolli joined Chievo in 2010.

However, with his contract set to expire in June 2013, the Mussi Volanti are reportedly open to considering bids for him. L’Arena speculate that Inter have made initial contact over a possible transfer.

Massimo Moratti’s club have signed Matias Silvestre for defence for the new season, but released Lucio this summer and are continually linked with parting with Andrea Ranocchia.
