This leaves 32-year-old Lichtsteiner surplus to requirements for Max Allegri and, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, it’s the last chance to get some money for the Swiss international.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter approached Lichtsteiner and he has given the all-clear, but Juve don’t want to sell him to another Italian club.

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest the Bianconeri want €12m and there is interest from Borussia Dortmund and Monaco.

SportItalia maintain Inter will keep trying to negotiate a deal until the transfer deadline.
