Andrea Stramaccioni “is showing important qualities” and could remain at Inter, said director Marco Tronchetti Provera, who denied interest in Cesare Prandelli.

Stramaccioni was promoted from the Primavera youth team after Gian Piero Gasperini and Claudio Ranieri were sacked.

He is still unbeaten at the helm, although there are reports the Nerazzurri want to bring in Barcelona’s Pep Guardiola or Italy boss Prandelli.

“Stramaccioni is confirming himself,” Tronchetti Provera told ANSA news agency.

“Guardiola? I know he wants to take a Sabbatical and spend a year out. Besides, Stramaccioni is doing well and showing important qualities.

“As for Prandelli, he is doing well where he is.”

The businessman was also asked about other issues, such as Mario Balotelli’s future at Manchester City and the Juventus plan to add a third ‘star’ to their jersey.

“Balotelli is a natural talent who has to learn how to keep a lid on his own defects. Juventus? It’s just a marketing operation.”

An extra star is added to a team’s jersey when they reach 10 Scudetto titles. If Juve take the title this season, it will be their 28th – but the 30th if they count the two revoked in the Calciopoli scandal.

Juventus have hinted they will add a third star, but the FIGC and Inter dubbed it “an act of provocation.”
