According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are furious with Arturo Vidal after his latest interview where he said that he hopes to play for Flamengo soon.
The Chile international didn’t attend yesterday’s training session due to a fever (his swab test came back negative), but his latest interview has caused outrage at Appiano Gentile.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Serie A giants are furious with the former Juventus and Barcelona midfielder, who said on Monday that he hopes to join Flamengo soon.
He also complained about his lack of playing time, saying that he has changed his hairstyle, so “maybe the coach will see me a bit more as I haven’t played many games.”
Inter directors are not impressed by his words, but also by the timing of the interview as the team is now facing the most difficult part of the season.
The defending Serie A champions are considering fining the experienced midfielder even if they may end up not taking action given that they are destined to part ways with the Chile international at the end of the season. Inter have a clause to terminate Vidal’s contract in the summer by paying €4m and saving €5.5m from his final year at the club.
Simone Inzaghi and club directors spoke to the team yesterday and the coach urged his players to react to their recent poor run of form that has seen them lose the top spot in the Serie A table.

Why? Most Inter fans hope he will be playing somewhere else soon too! And he can bring Gagliardini and Vecino with hi too!
Past him prime. He’s doing Inter a favor if he leaves. They got off cheap. Be happy.

Big deal…players say things like this all the time. Inter has the right to be offended if he stated he wanted to play for another team in Italy…but he didn’t. He stated a Brazilian team…who cares.
No big deal. If it was Bastoni or Barella saying they want to go play at Barcelona, Manchester or Juventus, ok I’d be pissed. But every Inter fan, A) is pretty sure Vidal will be leaving anyway B) would not be heart-broken in such an event C) may actually throw a party if he did
