Inter are reportedly keeping a close eye on Franck Kessie’s situation at Milan and could try to snatch him from the Rossoneri when his deal expires next year.

The Ivorian has a contract until June 2022 and after losing Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu this summer, Milan have made the renewal with Kessie the absolute priority.

Tuttosport reports the former Atalanta midfielder has yet to reach an agreement with the Diavolo, despite continuous talks with the club.

The Rossoneri want to close the deal as soon as this summer, to avoid another complicated situation such as those already experienced with Donnarumma and Calhanoglu this year.

But the newspaper points out that there’s a great distance between the offer and the demand, as Milan have offered €3.8m to Kessie, who now earns €2.2m a season.

The Ivorian’s agent has reportedly asked for €6m and Tuttosport reveals Inter are monitoring the 24-year-old’s situation in Via Aldo Rossi.

In case Milan fail to extend with the player, the Nerazzurri could try to snatch him from the Rossoneri in a year, just as they did with Calhanoglu.

But Milan consider Kessie indispensable and would do everything possible to keep the Ivory Coast international at Milanello.
