Gaby Mudingayi says he didn’t get more than 45 minutes to prove himself last year at Inter, whilst he turned down QPR, Watford and Palermo this summer.

The midfielder was released at the end of his Nerazzurro contract this summer and remains a free agent despite, in his words, a number of offers on the table.

“I am in great shape and have trained every day with a Coach,” the 33-year-old has told the Gazzetta dello Sport today.

The midfielder was released at the end of his Nerazzurro contract this summer and remains a free agent despite, in his words, a number of offers on the table.

“I am in great shape and have trained every day with a Coach,” the 33-year-old has told the Gazzetta dello Sport today.

“Did I say no to QPR? Their offer did not convince me, whilst in June I refused Watford because I was hoping to stay in Serie A, and they are now [joint] first [in the Championship]. If I could go back…

“I spoke with Palermo but then they signed Rigoni. Finally, India – the club David Trezeguet is at wanted me, but I love football too much to play there.

“Many believe that I did not play at Inter because I was injured, but I healed a year ago.

“In pre-season Mazzarri did not play me because he feared a relapse. But even during the season he did not give me a chance.

“I asked him if I was training in the wrong way. He said no and that he was waiting for the suitable match.

“Then in January I played in the Coppa Italia against Udinese – we were losing and I was substituted at the end of the first half.

“Since that day I have had neither the opportunity nor the explanation. My chance was 45 minutes – how could I prove myself to Inter?”
