Inter started their preparations for the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich and confirmed that defender Danilo D’Ambrosio has suffered a muscle strain.

The Nerazzurri have already booked their spot in the knock-out stages of the competition following their win over Viktoria Plzen earlier this week, allowing them to enter their final group game against Bayern a little more relaxed. Inter are now working to improve their position in the league, shaking off their slow start to the campaign.

As announced by Inter, D’Ambrosio did not take part in today’s training session due to an adductor strain, which has been affecting the Inter defender for the last few days. He will undergo a round of tests next week to determine the seriousness of the issue.

The 34-year-old Italian defender has not featured consistently under Simone Inzaghi this season, only playing 105 minutes of Serie A action across four appearances. He most recently appeared in the 2-1 win over Sassuolo earlier this month.
