Italian sources report that West Ham United are asking for €30m to sell Gianluca Scamacca, but Inter are confident they can secure the Italy international for €25m plus bonuses.

The Nerazzurri dived in with a proposal for the striker this afternoon that was worth €20m plus bonuses and it was rejected by the Hammers.

However, the proposal to buy him outright was already a significant improvement on the Roma bid to sign him on loan with an option to buy that becomes an obligation if they qualify for the Champions League.

Both Sportitalia and Sky Sport Italia now report that Inter remain confident they will be able to do a deal for €25m plus up to €5m in add-ons.

It would still be a big drop considering West Ham purchased Scamacca from Sassuolo only a year ago for €36m plus €6m in bonuses and a 10 per cent cut of the sell-on fee.

That also means if he was sold to Inter for €30m, then Sassuolo would pocket €3m of it, leaving the Premier League side with only €27m.
